MIS Key Features
Complete PNR and eTicket capture in real time
The Planitas solution takes all active PNRs and eTicket from the host
in real time and saves them in the MIS database. This means
that the database is in effect a mirror of the airline booking
activity on the host. This data is never purged so the MIS contains the airlines
complete booking information – historical, current and future.
As PNR’s are amended this is immediately reflected in the centralised relational
database.
Capture Departure Control (DCS) Data
The Planitas MIS provides the option to capture key departure control (DCS) data – both
own Host and handling agent systems. This information is taken either directly
from the PNR or via standard AIRIMP messages, including PRL, PFS, LDM and MVT.
The MIS therefore provides flown passenger data as well as other departure data,
such as, flight timings, delay codes and baggage information.
Capture of Historical PNR data that is stored offline
The Planitas solution is capable of processing all historical PNRs which
have been removed from the host and stored offline (i.e. on PDI). The PNR data
is parsed and then stored in a relational database.
The PNR data is parsed and then stored in a relational database.
This key feature has allowed the development of a sophisticated presentation
layer in the MIS. Rather than present raw data to the user, detailed reports
have been developed which present vital management information in a series of
user-friendly reports with an Excel format and usability. Thus training to use
the reports is alleviated.
Convenient and secure access to the data via the Web
The Planitas MIS opens a secure, real time window to all data in the MIS database
via the web with normal security access enabled.
Powerful and intuitive user interfaces
The MIS user interface is a secure, web-enabled environment accessed using
a username and password. It is user-friendly and intuitive, allowing complex
management reports to be generated with a few clicks of a mouse. There will
also be an option of biometric access.
All input screens feature intelligent calendars (“Drop-down”)
which interlock for start and end date selection, i.e. if a report by calendar
month is being generated only whole months can be selected.
Multi-level Access Control
Because the MIS stores a great deal of commercially sensitive information,
particularly where the Revenue modules are deployed there are control mechanisms
which limit the scope of data available to each user and are accordingly built
into the product. Users may be assigned roles which will limit the range of
menu options available.
Data presentation
The Planitas MIS supports multiple output formats for the reports produced
including, HTML, Excel, and graphical within Excel.
Drilldown
An extremely powerful feature of the Planitas MIS
reports is the ‘drilldown’ capability.
This allows reports to be generated by selecting data of interest in a current
report as the basis for the new report, removing the need to navigate back
to the input screens every time.
Total Hosted Package
Planitas provides a fully hosted solution (in our) from state-of-the-art data
centres thus eliminating the clients need to purchase hardware and support
infrastructure.
